Deliciously exotic, this mid Victorian concoction is so full of delightful hand wrought details that the eye is completely fulfilled! In lovely 15ct gold, (which has been 18ct yellow gilded) with super twisted wirework decoration it is further ornamented with a juicy cabochon Garnet and mysterious grey Seed Pearls. Circa 1860's, and very fashionable at the time, the Etruscan Revivalist movement took inspiration from classical Greek and Etruscan objects which had been unearthed from tombs and featured intricate wire work and granulation. The locket section contains the original glass and is ready to show a precious photograph or picture.
